When Troubles Come

When troubles come
And they always do
How you handle it
Is entirely up to you

You can make it easy
You can make it hard
You can live victoriously
Or be caught off guard

You can trust in God
Or listen to Satan
You can worship Him
Or something that’s pagan

You can claim his promises
You can live in defeat
You can be so happy
Or grovel at his feet

You can wear a smile

Or exhibit a frown
Be a sight to behold
Or in desperation drown

You can live either way
It’s entirely up to you
Be one of God’s children
Be judged, receive your due

The answer’s quite simple
Make the right choice
Either an eternity in Hell
Or saying yes to God’s voice
