Roly Poly

My pet is something special

It lives in my argyle sock

His name is Roly Poly

He's a million year old rock

He goes with me everywhere

Riding on my pickup's dash

His vet bills are non existent

He never costs me any cash

Conversations are one sided

He's deaf and dumb and mute

But he's still my best buddy

For a rock he's kinda cute!

The only thing I do for him

Is visit a quarry once a week

Search for a couple of hours

It's his family that we seek

Yes, I love my Roly Poly

He's the best pet I've ever had

His destiny is my rock garden

And I know that I'll be sad!
