I Wish I Had It Back

I wish I had it back
All the time that I’ve wasted
I’m sure it would be huge
That loss of time I created

I wish I had it back
All the money I have lost
Of foolish purchases made
Not caring about the cost

I wish I had it back
All the words spoken in vain
Things spoke out of turn
And nothing did it gain

I wish I had it back
All those years in school
I would have tried harder
Not have been such a fool

I wish I had it back
The physique of my youth
Now I look in the mirror
I see something uncouth

I wish I had it back
Times spent with my family
All I have are memories
Of how times used to be

I wish I had it back
Time away from the Lord
There are things that I’d change
While being in one accord

I wish I had it all back
My life to live again
My hindsight would help
To know where to begin
