Judging
Right or wrong we tend to judge
Anyone remotely different from you
It could be something large or small
Remember that Jesus loves them too
The Bible teaches us to love one another
And sometimes it’s very hard to do
When someone pushes your buttons
Remember that Jesus loves them too
Maybe it’s your obnoxious co-worker
Always forcing their opinions on you
They won’t let you turn and walk away
Remember that Jesus loves them too
Or the person at the interstate ramp
A sign saying, “I will work for food”
And in your mind there’s skepticism
Remember that Jesus loves them too
The homeless living in a flimsy box
Struggling to survive, they’ve no clue
Instead of helping you avoid them
Remember that Jesus loves them too
Or the person in dirty, shabby clothes
Hasn’t had a bath in a week or two
Hungry, down on their luck they are
Remember that Jesus loves them too
Do you judge by a person’s skin color?
Are you prejudiced because of hue?
And avoidance is your preference
Remember that Jesus loves them too
So beware of your judgmental eyes
And the consequences that will ensue
For to them you are also different
Remember that Jesus loves you too
