Being Wanted

My heart is soft and tender
And I don’t know what to do
For it aches so incredibly bad
That it distorts my point of view

To know that somewhere out there
The love of my life awaits
Waiting for her to finally appear
A whole new life we’ll create

For I feel like a ship lost at sea
At the mercy of the wayward wind
Not knowing where I’m going
Receiving life’s blows on my chin

Deep inside I long to be wanted
I feel I have so much to give
Where is my special someone
For I need a good reason to live
